Opening Songs

Rejoice
Dustin Kensrue CCLI 20455650

VERSE 1

Come and stand before your Maker
Full of wonder, full of fear
Come behold His power and glory
Yet with confidence draw near

For the one who holds the heavens
And commands the stars above
Is the God who bends to bless us
With an unrelenting love

CHORUS 1

Rejoice, come and lift your hands and
Raise your voice, He is worthy of our praise
Rejoice, sing of mercies of your King
And with trembling, rejoice

VERSE 2

We are children of the promise
The beloved of the Lord
Won with everlasting kindness
Bought with sacrificial blood

Bringing reconciliation
To a world that longs to know
The affections of a Father
Who will never let them go

VERSE 3

All our sickness, all our sorrows
Jesus carried up the hill
He has walked this path before us
He is walking with us still

Turning tragedy to triumph
Turning agony to praise
There is blessing in the battle
So take heart and stand amazed

CHORUS 2

Rejoice, when you cry to Him
He hears Your voice,
He will wipe away your tears,

Rejoice, in the midst of suffering
He will help you sing

There Is A Fountain
William Cowper CCLI 20455650

VERSE 1

There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains

Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains

VERSE 2

The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day
And there have I, though vile as he
Washed all my sins away

Washed all my sins away
Washed all my sins away
And there have I, though vile as he
Washed all my sins away

VERSE 3

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow’r,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved to sin no more

Be saved to sin no more,
Be saved to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved to sin no more

VERSE 4

E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die

And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die

Creed

Intercessory Prayer for Epiphany

For the church and its ministry to the world, and for all those who bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

For the nations of the world and their leaders,

for all those in authority

and for an end to war and oppression,

let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

For those who have not heard the good news of salvation,

for those who have heard but have not believed,

and for those who have forsaken their faith,

let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

For those who are lonely and destitute,

for victims of injustice and discrimination,

for those who are unloved and forgotten,

let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

For those who are sick in body, mind, and spirit,

for those who are hungry and homeless,

for those who are dying or bereaved,

and for all those in need of our prayers

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

For those who have gone before us and are now at rest we give thanks to the Lord.

And for all the saints on earth who surround us in a great fellowship of love, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer. [silence]

Loving God, hear the prayers of your faithful people and guide our thoughts and actions, so that your will may be done and your name be glorified through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Closing Song

Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me
Jonny Robinson, Rich Thompson, and Michael Farren CCLI 20455650

VERSE 1

What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace

CHORUS 1

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to His
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing: all is mine!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

VERSE 2

The night is dark but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Savior He will stay
I labor on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, His power is displayed

CHORUS

To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley He will lead
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

VERSE 3

No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave

CHORUS 3

To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

VERSE 4

With every breath I long to follow Jesus
For He has said that He will bring me home
And day by day I know He will renew me
Until I stand with joy before the throne

CHORUS 4

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to Him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

TAG

When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
